Right As Rain
"Right As Rain" is an eclectic collection of music. From jazz classics such as "Come Rain Or Come Shine" to the comic titillation of "He Ain't Mr. Right," from standards like "I Didn't Know What Time It Was" to the thought provoking "Home Is Where The Heart Is," from the heartbreaking loneliness of "Here's That Rainy Day" to Dougie MacLean's love song to Scotland, "Caledonia," this is an album that is at once dramatic, romantic, surprising and thoroughly entertaining.

Backed by outstanding performances from Tucson's leading musicians, Liz has never sounded better. And every one of these songs sounds absolutely "Right As Rain."

Sophie Songs
In January and February, 2003, Liz played the title role in the Invisible Theatre's production of "Sophie Tucker: An American Legend" in Tucson. In March she took the show to The Red Barn Theatre in Key West, Florida.

The career of Sophie Tucker, "The Last of the Red Hot Mamas," spanned nearly seven decades and included vaudeville, burlesque, cabaret, records, motion pictures and television. Her strong contralto voice, her bawdy humor, her flamboyant glamour and her tireless self-promotion combined to make her, indeed, an American legend.

Liz McMahon and Rob Boone, who played Ted Shapiro, Sophie's accompanist and colleague of 43 years, recorded this collection of her most popular songs as they were presented in the Invisible Theatre's production.
